1. What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile information Google shares with us. When you run a store we also process your product listings, orders and settlement details needed to pay you.

2. How we use it

We use your information to operate your store, process payments, notify you about orders, provide support and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Google Sign-In

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name and email address with us to create or access your account. We never see your Google password.

4. Your customers' data

Order and payment information from your store's customers is processed to fulfil their purchases and settle your earnings. You should handle any customer data you receive responsibly and lawfully.

5. Print-on-demand artwork and production

Artwork, mockup choices, print placement and product templates are stored to let sellers design, submit and sell products across their stores. Platform admins review submitted designs and may review their own designs. The local printing team can access approved artwork and paid order specifications, including size, color, quantity and relevant delivery details. Uploaded artwork is stored privately; approved product mockups are published as shop images. Keep personal information out of artwork unless you have permission to use it.

Background removal is optional and runs on your device. Opening or uploading an image does not trigger removal. If you save a processed design, the resulting artwork is uploaded to Duka Yangu. The removal tool does not send the image to an external AI service. Gallery models are fictional AI-generated advertising images.

6. Cookies, analytics and service providers

Essential session cookies support sign-in, carts and protection against forged requests. Configured analytics and external font, script or media services may receive browsing, device and IP information. Payment, hosting, delivery and email providers receive information needed to provide their services. Browser cookie or tracking settings can limit some processing, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout.

7. Retention, security and transfers

We retain information for the time needed to operate accounts, fulfil purchases, reconcile payments and payouts, handle disputes and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Artwork linked to purchased products may need to remain available for production and order support after a listing is unpublished. Passwords are hashed and access to private artwork and records is restricted. Hosting and service providers may process information outside Kenya; appropriate safeguards are required for such transfers.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask about the use of your information, request access or correction, object to processing, or request deletion where applicable. Contact us with the relevant account, store or order reference. We may need to verify your identity and explain records that must be retained. Ask your store to remove an email subscription if you no longer want its messages. You may raise privacy concerns with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
